Braised Beef Short Rib
Ingredients (serves 4)
Beef Short Ribs
2 cups Beef stock
1 Onion
1 carrot
2 celery stalks
3 cloves garlic
2 tbsp Worchestire sauce
2 tbsp Flour
2 tbsp Oil
to taste Salt
to taste pepper
4 sprigs Thyme
1/4 bunch Oregano
- Smoke beef short rib for 2-3hrs with just salt and pepper, we are really just looking to get smoke flavour and bark happening.
- in a pot or dutch oven bring oil to a medium heat and saute chopped onion, carrot and celery
- add flour once veg has taken on some colour or softened. add flour and stir for 30sec followed by warm beef stock.
- add all remaining ingriedents including smoked beef ribs and cover with lid and place in oven or smoker at 140c for 2-3 hours till beef ribs are tender.
